Natalia K. Vander Laan is the founder and managing attorney of Vander Laan Law Firm, LLC. From her offices in Minden and Carson City, she represents people throughout Northern Nevada in the areas of estate planning and probate.
Natalia is passionate about helping others and cares deeply about the people she represents. She works hard to help her clients achieve peace of mind, whether they are older people who need to update their estate planning documents or younger people who need to plan for the future and provide for their children.
Natalia takes pride in explaining complex legal concepts in a way that is easy to understand. She makes sure she is available to answer her clients’ questions, address any concerns, and makes sure they understand the details in their estate planning documents or what is happening during probate.
Natalia’s clients find her to be a patient and caring advocate who is understanding, organized, trustworthy, and approachable. The highest compliment she receives is when a client introduces her as “my attorney.”
As a child growing up in Poland, Natalia enjoyed watching American movies about lawyers. She knew from an early age that she wanted to be an attorney, and first attended law school in Poland. Then, after she moved to California, she attended law school again because California would not recognize her Polish law degree. While in law school, Natalia worked as a paralegal for an insurance company. After graduation, she worked as an in-house attorney for an insurance company handling defense of workers’ compensation claims.
Today, Natalia owns her own law firm with offices in Minden and Carson City and proudly represents people throughout Northern Nevada including in Minden, Gardnerville, Carson City, Lyon County, and the Lake Tahoe area. She is active in the community, serving as a director on the boards of various community organizations and volunteering her legal services.
When she is not practicing law, Natalia enjoys spending time with her husband, Thomas, camping in their trailer, traveling to Europe, binge-watching their favorite shows, and making homemade liquor.
